Quality Manager (Automotive)
My client is a precision manufacturer specializing in metal components and assemblies for industries such as automotive, electrical, and medical devices. Their capabilities include various metal stamping and secondary machining processes, supporting a wide range of customer needs. Job Description
The Quality Manager (Automotive) will :
- Lead and manage the quality team, including engineers, technicians, inspectors, and second-shift staff
- Oversee all quality assurance activities across production, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems, processes, and team performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal quality issues and customer concerns
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures and documentation
- Train, mentor, and evaluate quality team members to build technical and leadership capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, production, and supply chain
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes and corrective actions
- Support audits, regulatory inspections, and customer visits
- Ensure inspection processes and standards are consistently applied across shifts
- Maintain a proactive approach to risk management and defect prevention
- Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous learning within the quality team
