Personal Care Assistant

We are building a team of caregivers who would enjoy helping our son Isaiah learn to care for himself, communicate and engage in his community. Isaiah does need help with personal care and hygiene needs. He is a music loving, joke-telling, ocean animal obsessed, happy teenager with Cerebral Palsy. He uses a wheelchair and a walker. He uses some verbal speech, gestures, and a communication device to communicate.

We live in Bridgeton and we have shifts available starting at 2 : 30 PM on weekdays. Afterschool shifts are 3 to 6

hours long depending on individual caregiver's availability. Some weekend shifts are also available. Caregivers can choose to work once a week or more.

This is a paid hourly position. Pay rate starts at $25 / hour or more depending on experience and is paid through a payroll company (taxes are processed).

Requirements

We are looking for individuals that are easy going and enjoy engaging one-on-one to uncover what are at times the hidden blessings in the life of a joyful young adult with CP. We will provide all the necessary training. No special skills required except an openness to engage, connect and serve a family that is serving the Lord and the St. Louis community as they work for New City Fellowship and Variety the Children's Charity.
