Overview
Storage Specialist / Systems Administrator role focused on HP-UX / Linux server administration, storage management, virtualization, and related monitoring activities.
Responsibilities
Perform installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of HP-UX / Linux operating systems and related peripheral hardware
Install, configure and optimize HPVM virtualization stack
Monitor and respond to system problems utilizing a variety of testing tools and techniques
Maintain good communication and manage customer and work experience in a customer environment
Monitor and troubleshoot current storage environment in terms of usage, performance, reporting and availability
Install, configure and monitor Service Guard Software as necessary
Manage and configure enterprise SAN including fiber switches and different storage environments
Technical / Functional Skills
Should have knowledge of managing and doing server administration of HP-UX servers OS, and provide technical support with systems and applications on HP-UX / Linux systems. HP Unix versions include : HP-UX B.10.20A, HP-UX B.10.20E, HP-UX B.11.31U
Exposure to storage areas including NetApp Arrays, Synology, HPE 3PAR

Ability to work with offshore team, onsite lead, and act as a point of contact for HP-UX / Linux issue troubleshooting at onsite customer location
Interacting with customers and being a good team player to collaborate with offshore technical SMEs
Salary Range
$37,300 - $130,000 a year
