General Summary / basic PURPOSE OF JOB :

Overview Mount Sinai Hospital’s Pharmacy Department is seeking a Pharmacy Coordinator to support our antimicrobial stewardship program while helping manage staffing and scheduling functions. This role bridges clinical operations and administrative coordination, ensuring our antimicrobial initiatives run efficiently and our staffing needs are met. Key Responsibilities Support the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP), including case reviews, data tracking, guideline updates, and coordination of stewardship interventions in collaboration with the ASP team and infectious diseases specialists. Engage in daily antimicrobial use surveillance, assist with performance metrics, and help deliver education to providers and pharmacists on optimal prescribing and ASP best practices. Assist with scheduling and staffing logistics : create and maintain staff schedules, coordinate coverage for clinical pharmacy services, and support cross-team shift coordination. Function as a point of contact between clinical staff, leadership, and other departments to streamline operational workflows. Assist with staff development : onboarding, competency tracking, and training initiatives across clinical pharmacy and stewardship teams. Participate in operational improvement projects and policy updates related to antimicrobial stewardship or pharmacy staffing management

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.

Active Illinois pharmacist licensure. Experience in antimicrobial stewardship or infectious diseases pharmacy is preferred.

Strong organizational and administrative abilities; scheduling coordination experience is a plus.

Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic), data analytics (e.g., stewardship surveillance tools), and basic data reporting.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

MINIMUM Education :

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Pharm D or equivalent degree required
