JOB TITLE : Banquet Set-Up
REPORTS TO : Banquet Manager, Banquet Captains
BASIC PURPOSE : Properly set, clean and maintain all function rooms, service corridors, storerooms and public function areas in a safe, accident-free manner.

Experience : Prior hotel Banquet Houseperson experienced preferred.
Skills and Abilities : Ability to speak English.
Must exhibit an attention to detail.
Ability to read / interpret BEOs accurately and set function according to diagrams.
Ability to lift / push / pull / carry heavy items.
Travel required : Local travel for outside Catering functions.
Hours Required : Flexible; Scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
ENVIRONMENT :
Lifting / Pushing / Pulling / Carrying : Lifting 20-60 lbs. (trays, dish racks, glass racks, dance floor, etc.) Pushing 50-100 lbs. (carts, hot box, portable bar) Carry 20-40 lbs. (trays, dish racks, glass racks, etc.)
Bending / Kneeling : Ability to bend to low-level cabinets and banquet storage room. Bend to lift trays.
Mobility : Maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests. Distance 100 ft - 100% of time.
Continuous Standing : Standing required to service guest / functions; 100% of time scheduled.
Climbing Stairs : Up to approximately 30 steps 20% of 8-hour shift.
Protective Clothing : Slip-resistant footwear 100% of scheduled shift.
Equipment Operation : Coffee machine, ice machine, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, possible AV equipment.
