Job Description
The Electrical Engineer will work on project teams to create designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments across various sectors including power, process, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. The Staff Electrical Engineer will collaborate throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans based on budget, design factors, or client needs.
- Perform electrical design from conceptual phase to completion.
- Review and modify production drawings for projects like power plants, industrial facilities, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, and government / military facilities.
- Design electrical components according to project requirements set by project managers.
- Apply knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, practices, and procedures.
- Research and compile project-related data as needed.
- Update drawings using CAD software, verifying corrections.
- Prepare information for client presentations, shop reviews, and contract administration.
- Conduct field inspections, measurements, and calculations for clients.
- Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related from an ABET-accredited program plus 3 years of experience, consulting preferred.Or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with successful FE exam completion and 3 years of experience, consulting preferred.Or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of experience, consulting preferred.Strong knowledge of engineering techniques and procedures.Excellent communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other analysis programs.Attention to detail, teamwork, organization skills.Engineers in Training (EIT) certification preferred.This job posting remains open until filled and will be active for at least 72 hours.
