Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor of English in the Department of English with a preferred start date of August 2026. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in professional writing, to include some combination of Professional Editing, Workplace Writing, Digital Rhetoric, Technical Writing, Grant and Proposal Writing, Managing Writing in Organizations, Business and Technical Editing, Feature Writing, Document Design and Desktop Publishing, Writing for Social Media, Literacy Studies, Careers in Professional Writing, Web Content Development, and First-Year Composition.
• Teaching workload is variable; typical teaching load for research-active assistant professors is 3-2.
• Service to Department, College, University, and professional community is expected.
• Active scholarship in the candidate's specialization is expected; start-up, department, and college funds may support initial research efforts.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
