As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $16.99 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM Fri 06 : 30 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter and identify suspicious behavior or potential threats.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter criminal activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Assist with access control, verifying identification and / or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and / or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Operate security-related equipment and communication devices as required for the post.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications for armed patrol duties.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
