Quality Engineer
Will be responsible for the design and development of intelligent systems and industrial systems control.
Job Summary
Manage and develop a Quality System to comply with customer requirements, including tracking quality issues, coordinating quality activities, monitoring and improving quality levels, developing and maintaining product inspection activities, and ensuring compliance with ISO9000 standards.
Requirements for the Position
QE experience with Nissan or OEM.Strong root-cause analysis and critical thinking skills.Background in Metal Stamping Quality is a plus.Deadline and detail-oriented.Solid negotiation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Able to read basic and advanced part prints.Understanding of ANPQP system and requirements.Ability to read basic measuring equipment.Responsibilities
Create and improve automated systems and processes.Interpret CMM and scan data.Implement process improvements and countermeasures.Manage PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).Prepare inspection reports.Support installation of mechanical and control upgrades.Document technical procedures and user guides.Perform Gauge R&R studies.Develop and maintain control plans and PFMEA.Essential Job Functions
Provide technical support and quality reports to customer PQE / Process Engineer.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production without downtime.Manage and develop Quality System to meet customer requirements.Ensure workstation and operator processes deliver high quality, with written reaction plans for concerns.Respond to quality issues internally and externally to satisfy customer needs.Track and control quality issues to prevent them from leaving the plant.Maintain quality records and documentation, including ISO9000 compliance.Monitor internal and external PPM to improve quality and reduce complaints.Coordinate internal audits and corrective actions for continuous improvement.Coordinate quality activities and engineering changes with customers and other facilities.Collaborate with material, production, and engineering teams on engineering changes.Support engineering and manufacturing to improve error-proofing systems.Implement root cause analysis and countermeasure plans.Develop and maintain product inspection activities and training.Conduct unannounced workstation reviews and operator training.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in Automotive Tier 1 Supplier functions.Understanding of PPAP and Nissan ANPQP.Compliance with ISO9000 standards.Use of Six Sigma tools for root cause analysis.Knowledge of 3D CAD applications for measurement.Education and Experience
At least 2 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Supervisor in manufacturing / assembly.4-year engineering degree or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).Special Requirements
Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with possible day / night shifts, and occasionally lift at least 50 lbs. Walking, standing, kneeling, and stooping are frequent.
