Job Summary

The Packing Lead manages workflow, provides direction to the department’s employees for day-to-day production. They will be responsible for accurate counting of received product from vendors, matching with purchase orders, and packaging of completed jobs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the loading, packing, and shipping of products, ensuring shipments match the pick ticket and are labeled correctly.
• Physically handle shipments, including moving, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and organizing packages.
• Operate hand pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ensure all shipments are properly packed and labeled according to specifications
• Conduct routine equipment checks (pallet jacks, forklifts, shipping tools) to maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
• Assist in receiving and processing incoming shipments per company protocols.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and company procedures are followed in the shipping process.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying the contents of shipments and resolving discrepancies.
• Assists in using the ERP System to track and confirm shipped orders.
• Assists in tracking backorder paperwork and outstanding shipments.
• Assists in managing shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, invoices, and packing slips.
• Assists in communicating with carriers and internal teams about shipping timelines.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor or management.
