Responsibilities Position is in the Operating Room department of a Level 1 trauma center Handles a broad range of cases including orthopedic, neuro, vascular, urology, general, robotic, and some eye procedures Shift is 4x10 hour days, Monday to Friday, 10 : 30 to 21 : 00, with a rotating day off and required call Unit has 14 OR rooms No EMR documentation is required, but EPIC charting experience is preferred No local candidates accepted from specified counties or within a 50-mile radius Will participate in a variety of surgical procedures except for cardiac and transplant cases Call coverage is required as part of the rotation No travel pairs or groups will be considered No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation Orientation includes onsite modules completed during the first week, totaling 4-6 hours for RNs Holiday coverage may be required as part of the assignment Requirements Active TX or compact State RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required with robust expertise in vascular, ortho, neuro, urology, and general cases Current BLS certification and NBSTSA certification required ACLS certification preferred Previous travel experience required Pediatrics and adolescent experience preferred Skills in trauma, endo / lap, neuro, ortho, podiatry, thoracic, vascular, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, dilation & curettage, and aseptic technique are required Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615638.
