Position : Occupational Therapist

Location : Lufkin, TX

Duration : 6-month contract

Job Summary :

The Occupational Therapist delivers advanced therapeutic services, including assessments, treatments, and consultative support for individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating physical and cognitive impairments, developing physical / nutritional management plans, and utilizing specialized therapeutic modalities and equipment. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams (IDTs), participation in treatment planning, staff training, documentation, and quality assurance activities. Supervision of staff, coordination of student internships, and contribution to research may also be required. The therapist works independently with considerable judgment and initiative.

Essential Functions :

• Performs evaluations, clinical treatments, and specialized therapeutic services.
• Designs and implements individualized therapy and nutritional programs.
• Participates in IDT / ISP meetings and treatment planning.
• Oversees orthopedic / adaptive equipment.
• Maintains accurate documentation and ensures service quality.
