Job Description
Join a patient-first hospital laboratory team as a Phlebotomist . You’ll perform high-quality specimen collections (venipuncture and capillary) and provide clear collection instructions while maintaining strict privacy and safety standards.
What You’ll Do
Perform venipuncture and capillary draws for patients of all ages
Provide patient instructions for urine and culture collections
Positively identify patients; label and handle specimens to SOP / CLIA standards
Prioritize and route specimens; support timely transport to the lab
Document accurately in the LIS / EMR; uphold HIPAA at all times
Deliver compassionate, efficient service in a fast-paced clinical setting
Must-Have Qualifications
MediClear or equivalent HIPAA certification (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
National phlebotomy certification from one of the following (strongly preferred) :
NHA – CPT
ASCP – PBT
AMT – RPT
NCCT – NCPT
ACA – CPT
Strong communication and customer service skills; meticulous attention to detail
Nice to Have
Hospital or high-volume outpatient experience
EMR / LIS proficiency and knowledge of quality / safety procedures
