Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Mobile Wound Healthcare Team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each chronic wound patient visit by preparing charts, supplies and pulling notes before arriving at the patients' locations. You will be providing hands-on support alongside Nurse Practitioners and Care Coordination staff while assisting with keeping track of medical supplies and reporting to ensure your mobile team is ready for patient care throughout the day and week. You will also be helping set up machines, aiding in patient care, utilizing / maintaining testing equipment, assisting with charting and cleaning instruments as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous medical assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
• Clean instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assist Nurse Practitioner with advanced wound care charting and procedures
• Drive Nurse Practitioner to home visits

Qualifications

• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Active Driver's License
