Overview
Director of Operations (Program Director 1) at Moores School of Music leads season planning, event management, and facilities operations. This position coordinates more than 300 events each year, including large ensemble concerts, opera productions, faculty and guest recitals, masterclasses, donor events, and external partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the annual and multi-year performance calendar, working closely with faculty, directors, and production staff.
- Lead scheduling and execution of all performances, residencies, and special events, serving as the main point of contact for faculty, guest artists, donors, and community partners.
- Partner with Production Services to ensure event logistics - from rehearsals and tunings to run-of-show details - are clearly communicated and supported.
- Oversee building operations, including facilities requests, space assignments, key and card access, parking, and renovation projects.
- Supervise staff in office management, operations, and keyboard services, providing guidance and strategic oversight.
Qualifications
Education will be considered in lieu of experience.Experience : Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.MQ : Education : Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.
