Occupational Therapist Assistant Position
This is a per diem position at Wellington Regional Medical Center, located in Wellington, Florida. It is a 235-bed, acute care hospital owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., a highly respected healthcare management organization. The occupational therapist assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for treatment of performance components affecting functioning and to provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence to clients suffering from disability, disease or injury. The occupational therapist assistant organizes, conducts, and elevates medically prescribed occupational therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within their capabilities. The occupational therapist assistant carries out the plan of treatment developed by the occupational therapist. The occupational therapist assistant can supervise occupational therapist assistant students.

Qualifications : Associates Degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant program from a University program satisfying the AOTA Academic and intern requirements for competence, valid Florida State license, BLS certified through the AHA.
