Position Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Asphalt Production Technician to join our team. This role involves supporting asphalt plant maintenance, performing general labor tasks, and operating equipment such as skid steers and lulls. Additionally, the candidate will be trained to assist with batch plant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude, welding skills, and the ability to fabricate as part of their responsibilities.
Position Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the operations, maintenance and repair of the asphalt plant to ensure operations run smoothly and safely.Perform general labor duties, including cleaning, organizing, and material handling, to support daily plant operations.Operate skid steers and lulls in a safe and efficient manner for material movement and other tasks as required.Learn and assist in batch plant operations, including soil remediation and smaller production mixing processes, to gain a comprehensive understanding of plant functionality.Assist with plant cleanouts and general yard operations as neededPerform welding and fabrication tasks to repair or create new components for plant and yard equipment.Conduct inspections and routine maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure functionality and adherence to safety standards.Collaborate with team members to maintain plant, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as they arise.Qualifications
Proven mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.Welding experience, including the ability to fabricate components as needed.Experience operating heavy equipment, such as skid steers and lulls, with a focus on safety and efficiency.Willingness to learn new skills, including batch plant operations, through hands-on training and mentorship.Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods.High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Benefits
