Job Summary : The
- Associate Engineering Technician
- supports the maintenance and operation of pharmaceutical packaging and assembly equipment, including UV curing systems, vision systems, laser marking stations, conveyors, and robotics. This entry-level role assists in troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and documentation under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers. The technician will gain hands-on experience with production equipment and control systems while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities :
Assist in performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on automated equipment.Support senior technicians in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.Document maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Learn and apply cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and standard operating procedures.Participate in training sessions to build technical knowledge and skills.Help maintain spare parts inventory and ensure tools and equipment are organized.Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying and reporting equipment inefficiencies.Communicate effectively with team members, operators, and supervisors.Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED required.Associate degree in a technical field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or similar) or equivalent work experience.Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.Willingness to learn and follow detailed procedures.Ability to work safely around live equipment and follow Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures.Preferred Qualifications :
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.Familiarity with CMMS software (e.g., Maximo or GMARS).Experience in a regulated industry (FDA-regulated preferred).Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Job Types : Full-time, Contract
