Responsibilities
- Install and service new and existing Bulk CO2 tanks in a safe manner in accordance with all federal / state / county / local codes and Airgas policies.
- Responsible for the safe and accurate loading / unloading and transporting of CO2 products for servicing, including climbing 14 ft ladders, operating battery and electric power tools, maneuvering equipment up to 500 lbs with a hand truck, and obtaining required signatures from customers as needed.
- Travel 25%-50% of the time within the region, including layovers with 1-2 weeks prior notice. When travel is expected, Airgas will cover hotel accommodations, flights or car rentals. All ANC trucks are day cabs; there is no expectation for layovers in sleeper cabs.
- Typical shift is Monday-Friday with the ability to be on call some weekends.
- Install CO2 bulk installations at Airgas facilities and customer sites.
- Analyze and perform general repairs and maintenance of new and existing Bulk CO2 systems.
- Install decals and warning signs for hazard identification, warnings, ownership, normal operating settings, and emergency contacts.
- Maintain an appropriate stock of recommended parts necessary to repair typical installations operated by the hub.
Required Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days of hire) Tanker, and Airbrake endorsementsMust have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or provide proof of a trucking school certificate of completion from the last 5 yearsMaintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsementsNo more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years (or a combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident)No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven yearsPreferred Qualifications :
Ability to read blueprints and design specifications, manufacturer drawings, and architectural drawings related to bulk delivery sitesAbility to perform mathematical calculationsBasic understanding of hand toolsAbility to read blueprints and knowledge of any specialty gas is a plusMust be able to work in a drug-free environmentMust be able to lift 60 lbsBenefits
