Overview
Telos Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Grant Writer to lead efforts to secure funding for our mission and programs. This contractor will research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies. They will collaborate with Telos’ staff on an as-needed basis to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities and vision.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective funding opportunities from private foundations, corporations, and public agencies.
- Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and related materials.
- Collaborate with staff to gather and synthesize data, stories, and program outcomes for proposals and reports.
- Maintain an up-to-date grants calendar, tracking application deadlines, reporting requirements, and deliverables.
- Prepare interim and final reports for funders, ensuring compliance with grant agreements.
- Support Telos’s relationships with funders and philanthropic partners as needed.
- Track and report on grant activity and success rates to inform fundraising strategy.
Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, social sciences, humanities, or related field preferred.Experience :
2–4 years of experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising.Proven track record of securing grant funding from foundations, corporations, and / or government agencies.Experience working with mission-driven organizations is preferred.Core Skills :
Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for various audiences.Strong research skills, including assessing funding alignment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; familiarity with grant management systems a plus.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with staff.Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Telos Group, Inc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
