Quality Engineer II – Aerospace Manufacturing

Primary Purpose

The Quality Engineer drives quality forward through effective communication internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain configuration control documentation through contract review and blueprint / specification control.
• Manage multiple customer accounts including OEMs and sub-tiers; act as backup QE for additional customers.
• Work with Engineering to submit waivers and concessions and review and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Participate in investigation and disposition of customer complaints and returns.
• Communicate and submit corrective actions to customers and internally.
• Review purchase orders for customer related items.
• Act as internal quality representative for internal and external customers.
• Achieve certification for customer source inspection and complete required training.
• Lead continual improvement projects and provide training / coaching as needed.
• Participate in internal, external, special process, customer audits as an internal auditor.
• Subject matter expert on customer specific requirements.
