Our Orthopedic Sports Medicine clinical & surgical practice, is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to join our Team & to work alongside a well respected surgeon.
Orthopedic Physician Assistant Job Duties :
- Clinical Orthopedic Evaluations, exam and treat and surgical candidates.
- Sports Medicine Operating Room Assistant, first assist.
- On-call phone calls / weekend rotations (light call schedule).
- Provides commentary and information pertinent to patient care.
- Implements physician directives.
- Assesses patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examination (including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories).
- Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic test, such as X-rays, MRI's and laboratory studies and by interpreting test results.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
