Job Description

Summary :  A Physician Assistant (PA) provides patient care under the supervision and direction of a Physician. The Physician Assistant examines patients, prescribes medications, and orders diagnostic tests. The Physician Assistant acts independently, as well as part of a collaborative team to gather patients’ medical history, determine diagnoses, and prepare, implement, and measure effectiveness of treatment and care plans.

Essential Functions :

• Assist Physicians with examinations.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and treatment.
• Order laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret test results.
• Prescribe medicine and medical interventions.
• Assist in providing acute and chronic illness care to patients.
• Inform and educate family members on the condition of patients.
• Counsel patients on preventative health practices.
• Provide clinical direction and leadership to healthcare provider team.
• All other duties as assigned.
