We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing and grooming
- Implement care plans tailored to each resident's specific needs
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Ensure residents' rights are respected and upheld at all times
- Prepare meals and snacks for residents according to dietary guidelines
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment for residents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care
- Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures
- Familiarity with nursing home or hospice care settings is a plus
- Ability to cook and prepare meals for residents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Job Type : Part-time
Pay : $18.00 per hour
Expected hours : 15 – 20 per week
