Role
We are seeking a Lead Low Voltage Technician to oversee and guide a team to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems like CCTV, access control, and network wiring. Key responsibilities involve technical leadership, troubleshooting complex issues, reading blueprints, ensuring compliance with codes, and providing mentorship to junior technicians while maintaining client satisfaction and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Guide and mentor a team of low voltage technicians, ensuring high-quality work and professional development.
- Installation and Maintenance : Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various low voltage systems, such as security cameras (CCTV), access control, intercoms, and network cabling.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve complex system issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques, performing repairs as needed.
- Technical Documentation : Maintain accurate records of installations, modifications, and repairs, including updating system drawings and documentation for compliance.
- Collaboration and Communication : Work with project managers, clients, and other technicians to understand project requirements, manage scopes, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Site Assessment and Planning : Conduct site surveys to determine system requirements, equipment needs, and wiring plans for projects.
- Training : Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians, supporting their growth and development.
- Quality Assurance : Conduct regular inspections and testing of systems to ensure proper functionality and performance before project completion.
- Compliance : Ensure that all installations and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay current with new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in the low voltage field.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in low voltage systems installation, maintenance, and repair.Strong leadership and mentoring skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.Familiarity with a wide range of low voltage systems, including CCTV, access control, and network cabling (CAT-6, fiber optics).Proficiency with diagnostic and testing tools for low voltage systems.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.All interviews will include a skills test and require hand tools.Job Details
