job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOnly qualified Senior Technical Designer candidates located near Manhattan, NY to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence. Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience. Senior experience - 7+ years' experience in technical design with intimates / apparel Experience participating or owning their own fittings, able to write up fit comments & pattern corrections Centric training Proficiency in MS Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Flex PLM etc. Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit. Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications. Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications. Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors / factories for approvals and corrections. Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price. Typically reports to Technical Services Manager. Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers. Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
