We are hiring multiple roles across the Product and Design teams at Amazon in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York. In this role, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders from Design, Product, and Marketing teams to shape product strategies and translate them into compelling creative assets and impactful visual experiences. This role requires strong visual and interaction expertise, experienced design practice, particularly in ambiguous environments where problems need to be discovered and defined. As a Principal Product Designer, you\'ll be a key driver in shaping the future of our products. You\'ll lead strategic design initiatives that directly impact our user experience, business growth, and product innovation. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will remain posted until filled. • Partner with research teams to gather actionable insights
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research
• Apply data analytics to inform design decisions
• Explore emerging technologies and their design implications
• Lead design sprints and innovation workshops
• Team Leadership
• Mentor and develop junior designers
• Foster a culture of design excellence and innovation
• Lead design reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Build and maintain design team processes
• Collaborate with recruitment to grow the design team

Qualifications

Work Environment and Structure

Los Angeles County, San Francisco, Seattle, and New York offices. Report to Head of Design. Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership. Lead a team of designers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
