We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for a variety of underground utility projects, including the installation of water, sewer, and storm drain systems. This role is crucial to our pre-construction efforts, helping us secure new projects while maintaining our reputation for efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior estimators in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment required for underground utility projects
• Gather and analyze proposals and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Help prepare and compile detailed bids and cost proposals
• Maintain and update a database of project costs, materials, and labor rates
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements
• Assist in post-bid reviews to identify areas for improvement
