We are seeking a Human Resources professional with prior experience as an HR Generalist and strong payroll expertise who is enthusiastic about business results and delivering a high level of client service.
The client-facing HR Generalist / Associate position is an important role for our team. You will provide our clients with fractional human resources support and services. You will have the opportunity to work closely with an HR Partner or Managing Director of the company.
Responsibilities include :
- Participates in processing payroll for clients including time and attendance.
- Performs payroll changes, reviews and ensures approval of payroll with Finance, and assists employees and managers with their payroll questions and requests.
- Administers benefits programs and related compliance activities.
- Serves as the primary contact with providers and employees, ensures a smooth enrollment process for new hires and annual open enrollment.
- Maintains employee and organizational data in HRIS and other systems.
- Provides necessary reporting to the organization; maintains employee files according to requirements and record retention; keeps job descriptions up to date, accurate and compliant.
- Administers leaves of absence for qualifying employees, including FMLA, Military, STD, LTD, and Worker's Compensation, and more.
- Performs recruitment activities.
- Develops job descriptions, sources candidates, screens applicants, facilitates interviews, completes new hire paperwork, and performs onboarding.
- Supports the development of employee handbooks and policies; keeps them maintained for federal and state compliance requirements.
- Provides support for projects such as system implementations, compensation projects, and M&A transitions.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures client compliance.
Required Qualifications And Core Competencies :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fieldMinimum of 4 years of HR Generalist experienceExperience processing payroll in ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, or similar platforms is essential.Curiosity and ability to identify and seek needed information from a variety of sources and resourcesPrior experience and strong working knowledge of HRIS and ATS software, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.Advanced Excel including pivot tables, v-lookup, and other data skillsAnalytical thinker who can see how one thing impacts anotherDetail oriented with a strong focus on quality, while adhering to timelines and deadlinesAbility to prioritize, manage multiple priorities at once and meet deadlinesSelf-directed in their work.Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with clients and internal team members, often taking direction from multiple people.Must be able to spend substantial time in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN area for onsite client work.Preferred Experience :
