Employee Benefits Associate Counsel

A company is looking for an Associate Counsel, Employee Benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Support legal department responsibilities by collaborating with various business lines to identify and resolve risks

Draft, review, and negotiate various legal agreements including Client Service Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements

Provide legal and business advice to employees and management on strategic matters and compliance issues

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (or equivalent degree) from an accredited law school

Current and active member in good standing of a U.S. state and / or federal Bar Association

At least 4 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, with prior in-house experience preferred

Experience with employee benefits products and services is preferred

Familiarity with leave laws (FMLA, state equivalents) is a plus but not required
