Chief Engineer
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall success of the Anatomy's facilities and engineering efforts. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and teams.
This is a hands-on role in which the Chief Engineer will be required to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems using tools, personal experience, and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities :
- Technical Oversight : Oversee and directly diagnose and be able to personally repair and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems using tools, experience, and technical knowledge.
- Team Leadership and Management : Supervise, mentor, and guide facilities teams, assign tasks, and foster a positive work environment.
- Project Management : Oversee projects from conception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation; ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Budget and Resource Management : Manage engineer budgets, allocate resources effectively, and negotiate with vendors.
- Compliance and Safety : Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards, conduct safety inspections, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Communication and Collaboration : Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and other departments, and foster collaboration within the team and across the organization.
- Problem Solve and Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve technical issues, develop innovative solutions based upon direct hands-on diagnosis and experience personally repairing equipment / systems.
- Reporting and Documentation : Prepare reports for management, maintain accurate documentation of engineering processes and procedures, and analyze data to improve performance.
- Training and Development : Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians / facilities staff.
Qualifications :
Five + years of direct hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of HVAC, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electricity (having personally performed such work).Applicable training, or certification, in HVAC and / or other related trade licenses / certification in order to provide hands on experience.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong organizational and time management skills.Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred.Physical Requirements :
Able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. to complete assigned job tasks.Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; be able to reach overhead; have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property / building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions.Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders).Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity).Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers.Salary and Benefits :
