Registered Nurse - Telemetry\n\nSchedule\n\nShifts are from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM, requiring every other weekend and holidays as needed. There is no on-call duty.\n\nJob Description\n\nThe Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs and priorities.\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.\n
• Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments.\n
• Initiates assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.\n
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages care of patients.\n
• Documents care according to standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.\n
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of best practices in care delivery.\n
• Floats within the hospital as needed, especially in the ED holding area.\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
• Minimum of 2-3 years of recent Telemetry experience.\n
• ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred.\n
• BLS certification from AHA.\n
• Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.\n
• NIHSS certification.\n
