Position Overview :
The Amatriot Group is seeking a junior to mid-level AFSIM Analyst to join our team in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division . This position focuses on Modeling & Simulation (M&S) tasks using the Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) to support electronic warfare (EW) and broader electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO) initiatives. The role includes model development, scenario scripting, and data analysis in collaboration with experienced engineers and analysts.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in developing and executing AFSIM-based simulation scenarios to support system assessments and mission-level analysis.Work with senior engineers to integrate AFSIM outputs with complementary tools such as STK , NGTS , or Builder .Support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) efforts by applying structured modeling approaches to simulation requirements and outputs.Analyze simulation results, document outcomes, and assist in preparing reports and technical briefings.Collaborate with government and contractor teams to align modeling efforts with customer objectives.Apply programming skills (e.g., Python , C / C++ ) to automate scenario generation, data extraction, or visualization tasks as needed.Minimum Qualifications :
2–5 years of relevant experience in modeling and simulation, ideally with AFSIM or similar simulation tools.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.Working knowledge of scripting or programming (Python, C / C++, or similar).Experience supporting DoD programs or defense analysis efforts.Must hold an active Secret clearance (minimum); TS / SCI preferred.Willingness to work fully on-site at Crane, IN and collaborate with a multidisciplinary technical team.Desired Skills :
Exposure to MBSE tools or methodologies (e.g., SysML, MagicDraw, Cameo).Familiarity with mission-level or constructive simulation environments.Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in a technical context.Experience interpreting simulation data and producing clear, actionable reports.Interest in developing deeper expertise in EW and EMSO applications.
