Job Title : ITASE SME / Software Developer
Location : On-site at NSWC Crane, Indiana
Clearance : Secret (Minimum); TS or higher preferred

Salary Range : $100,000 - $250,000
Position Overview :
Amatriot Group is seeking a highly skilled ITASE Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Software Developer to support mission-critical modeling and simulation initiatives at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC-Crane) . This role is ideal for a defense technologist with deep experience in DoD modeling & simulation environments, specifically within the Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE) .
The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of advanced software models used in threat simulation, system testing, and mission planning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as a subject matter expert on ITASE frameworks and tools
- Design and implement simulation-based software solutions in support of DoD requirements
- Leverage modern C++ and established software design patterns to develop reliable, maintainable code
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in an Agile development environment
- Interface with stakeholders, engineers, and program managers to translate complex system requirements into functional code
- Prepare documentation and present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications :
Active Secret clearance (minimum); Top Secret (TS) or higher strongly preferredU.S. Citizenship (required)Expertise in DoD modeling and simulation technology , including real-time or constructive simulationsHands-on experience with ITASE and its integration into broader simulation frameworksProficiency in modern C++ , including object-oriented programming, templating, and concurrencyStrong grasp of software design principles and patternsFamiliarity with Agile / Scrum methodologiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical topics to diverse audiencesPreferred Qualifications :
Prior experience supporting NSWC-Crane or similar naval warfare R&D centersExposure to additional simulation frameworks or distributed test environmentsExperience with configuration management, CI / CD, or DevSecOps practices
