About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our growing team. This is a key opportunity to work on exciting design-build projects within the steel industry, leading electrical engineering efforts from concept through startup and customer sign-off. You'll apply your expertise in controls, power distribution, and automation to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

What You\'ll Do

• Lead electrical design for power distribution, machine control, and instrumentation.
• Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and others) and develop HMI / touchscreen applications.
• Design AC / DC drive systems and single / multi-axis servo systems (NIDEC experience a plus).
• Create and check schematics, one-line diagrams, and installation drawings.
• Oversee project lifecycle : customer communication, BOM generation, build / installation direction, and system testing.
• Provide on-site startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning support.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and field technicians to ensure seamless system integration.
• Support project estimating, documentation, and technical studies as needed.
