This position focuses on in-house and ER consults, with procedures stemming from these consults. A flexible schedule is provided, consisting of variable shifts with specific time frames needing coverage through 2025 and 2026.     • Job Responsibilities

  • Perform inpatient consultations and procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and ERCP.
  • Manage cases such as abdominal pain, GI bleed, SBO, food bolus, ulceration, and gastritis.
  • Work alongside endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with hospitalists for patient admissions.

    • Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Texas state medical license
  • ACLS certification
  • Clean malpractice record highly preferred

    • Working Hours

  • Variable shifts to cover specific dates
  • On-call and weekend duties as necessary

    • Skills

  • Proficiency in ERCP and common gastrointestinal procedures
  • Strong patient management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
