Federal is excited to add a new Planner / Buyer to our Materials team. In this role, you'll contribute to our success by providing planning and buying activities under the direction of the Materials Manager. You'll have the opportunity to work in a cross-functional capacity that is primarily responsible for purchasing parts from vendors and coordinating job releases with production in an accurate and timely manner. You'll also partner with leadership to identify root causes of supply chain issues and implement root cause countermeasures where needed.

Do you enjoy this work?

• Plan assembly work orders using Syteline ERP, ensuring efficient production
• Develop inventory strategies for production and service needs
• Analyze sales orders for material requirements, flag shortages to manager
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and customer service on production and material issues
• Manage vendor relationships, reduce lead times, and ensure timely deliveries
• Place and expedite purchase orders, manage material supply base
• Optimize item master setup, including pricing, lead time, and stock parameters
• Drive continuous improvement projects, analyze supply / demand, and negotiate with suppliers for best outcomes
