Architectural Designer II

DMR Construction is currently seeking an intermediate architectural designer to work out of our Waldwick, NJ office. The Designer will work with and support the in-house Architecture team as well as real estate and construction managers. As a growing family-owned business, DMR Construction is looking for an individual who is a self-motivated team player and is excited at the opportunity to grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Produces and develops design drawings through SD / DD / CD phases.
• Research, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients or for DMR's own development projects, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
• Produces conceptual site and building plans, renderings, and documents.
• Oversight and coordination of design and technical team from conceptual design through Construction Documents and Construction Phase
• Put together feasibility reports and design proposals. Assist with entitlement process.
• Work with lead architect and project managers to establish and adhere to project schedules.
• Develop presentation documents and participate in presentations to clients and municipal Authorities.
• Coordinate with project consultants from all disciplines
• Produces construction documents in Revit or AutoCAD.
• Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.
• Ensure design meets applicable building code and accessibility requirements.
• Visiting building worksites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans.
• Assist project management team with construction administration tasks as necessary.
