DMR Construction is currently seeking an intermediate architectural designer to work out of our Waldwick, NJ office. The Designer will work with and support the in-house Architecture team as well as real estate and construction managers. Responsibilities
- Produces and develops design drawings through SD / DD / CD phases.
- Research, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients or for DMR's own development projects, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
- Produces conceptual site and building plans, renderings, and documents.
- Oversight and coordination of design and technical team from conceptual design through Construction Documents and Construction Phase
- Put together feasibility reports and design proposals. Assist with entitlement process.
- Work with lead architect and project managers to establish and adhere to project schedules.
- Develop presentation documents and participate in presentations to clients and municipal Authorities.
- Coordinate with project consultants from all disciplines
- Produces construction documents in Revit or AutoCAD.
- Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications.
- Ensure design meets applicable building code and accessibility requirements.
- Visiting building worksites to ensure work is being done according to architectural plans.
- Assist project management team with construction administration tasks as necessary.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution.NJ Licensed Architect or working toward license.Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements.3 years' proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, rendering software and Microsoft Office suite is required.Minimum of 3-5 years' experienceDMR Construction offers competitive wages and benefits, including :
