job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and / or client representatives. Assist in access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required. Support emergency response activities as directed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and assisting first responders as needed. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors. Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner, following Allied Universal policies. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. As a Security Guard - Industrial Facility Patrol in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to everyone onsite. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
