Minimum Qualifications

A Master's or other post baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Two (2) years of responsible professional administrative experience (professional administrative experience is considered experience gained in a position that required a Bachelor's Degree upon entrance).

Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. The Civil Service Department reserves the right to determine whether experience qualifies as related responsible professional administrative experience. This position requires a one (1) year probationary period.

Kind Of Examination

A qualifying written examination and a rating of training and experience, weighted 100%. All related previous experience will be considered for qualification purposes; however, credit on the rating of training and experience will only be given for related experience gained within the last ten (10) years. Current employees in professional classifications that required the Management Development Analyst examination are exempt from the written examination. This is an original entrance examination.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE TESTING : The City of New Orleans has a comprehensive program of substance abuse testing.
