Overview
TEACHER, ELEMENTARY, ELA-S BILINGUAL SPANISH REQUIRED - K-5TH GRADE
Applications will be received by DPS. The position requires Spanish-English bilingual instruction at the elementary level, combining language development with core subject teaching in an inclusive learning environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality, differentiated instruction to students whose primary language is Spanish.
- Foster English language acquisition while supporting academic achievement across subjects.
- Develop competence and confidence in students through a balance of basic skills and conceptual understanding.
- Monitor and reinforce positive student conduct in line with school and District policy.
- Observe, evaluate, report, and record students\' performance, behavior, social development, and health.
- Communicate with parents / guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve behavioral and academic issues.
- Prepare educational outlines, objectives, and materials per curriculum guidelines or state / local requirements.
- Present subject matter using varied teaching methods and technology, adapting to individual learning styles.
- Participate in extra-duty activities as outlined in the teachers\' collective bargaining agreement (e.g., coaching, tutoring, summer programs).
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required. Master's degree required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
