Commercial Contracts Attorney

About the Role

A leading nuclear energy company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Contracts Attorney to join its in-house legal team at their Washington DC or Austin, TX office. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for attorneys with 4-15 years of experience. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial agreements and support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on clean energy innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including : Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, O&M agreements, Supply and procurement contracts, NDAs, MOUs, and service agreements
• Advise internal teams including development, operations, procurement, and finance.
• Support contract lifecycle management and implementation of contract tools.
• Collaborate with outside counsel as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local energy laws and regulations.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes.
• Assist with internal audits and risk assessments related to contract obligations.
