Purpose and Scope :
We are seeking a Senior Release Engineer to drive portfolio-level delivery and release strategies, oversee execution across 4+ teams, and ensure alignment with program objectives. This role will lead and support Delivery Managers and coordinate with cross-functional partners to strengthen delivery practices, manage risks and dependencies, and improve operational consistency. The successful Senior Release Engineer will support our work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), ensuring teams deliver on CMS’ goals and objectives while demonstrating value and reliability to our end users.
Responsibilities :
- Define and communicate delivery strategies that span multiple workstreams, aligning execution with organizational goals and CMS priorities.
- Translate program goals into actionable guidance for Delivery Managers to support decision-making, prioritization, and execution at the team level.
- Ensure successful delivery against PI / quarterly objectives, facilitating cross-team collaboration, dependency management, and proactive preparation for PI or quarterly planning events.
- Build and manage strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, ensuring alignment, providing clarity in ambiguous situations, and managing risks or conflicts that arise.
- Manage, coach, and empower Delivery Managers and cross-functional leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous growth.
- Own release management across the program, ensuring code moves smoothly through environments, conflicts are deconflicted early, and dependencies are managed.
- Ensure release readiness and quality, including comprehensive release notes, proper stakeholder communication, and execution of releases as planned.
- Provide stakeholders with clear, consistent, and digestible status updates, ensuring visibility into risks, progress, and decisions without adding reporting burden.
- Partner with program leadership to drive innovation in delivery practices by introducing and refining methods, tools, and frameworks that improve predictability, transparency, and efficiency across the portfolio.

Required Qualifications :
All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA / work permit documentation.A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. With eight years of general information technology experience and at least four years of specialized experience, a degree is not required.8+ Years of experience in end-to-end Agile project delivery in the government or commercial healthcare industry with at least 3 years of experience managing other Project Managers, Delivery Managers, or Scrum Masters within a software development environment.Strong understanding of Agile practices and is capable of interpreting, applying, and augmenting Agile best practices as necessary to drive positive outcomes for the programAbility to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical personnel; Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including outside consultants and vendors and influence others without formal authority.?Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous and time-sensitive environmentDemonstrated leadership effectiveness engaging delivery teams, customers, and other stakeholders to support business objectivesExpertise in JIRA / Confluence, Mural, and LucidchartExcellent command of written and spoken English.?Candidate must reside in the United States.?Ability to obtain a Federal Government Public Trust clearance required.Desired Qualifications :
SAFe CertificationExperience leading Salesforce implementations and / or Salesforce Admin certificationExperience managing projects for data platforms and data solutionsWorking Environment :
eSimplicity supports a hybrid work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.
Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 25% per year.
