The Cancer Research Institute (CRI), established in 1953 and headquartered in New York City, is the preeminent U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to saving more lives by fueling the discovery and development of powerful immunotherapies for all cancers. The Cancer Research Institute's research funding supports the entire continuum of basic discovery through early-stage clinical development of novel cancer immunotherapies.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing expense workflows, general ledger uploads / integrations / maintenance, payroll processing, budget maintenance, and assistance with the month-end close. This role also supports the organization's annual audit and preparation of IRS Form 990. The Staff Accountant collaborates across departments and serves as a key point of contact for internal finance-related inquiries and communications.

Responsibilities :

Expense Management and Reconciliation :

• Manage accounts payable processes and vendor payments
• Process corporate credit card transactions
• Assist with payroll processing and entries
• Maintain vendor records, collect W-9s, and assist with 1099 reporting
