This position is responsible for greeting, registering, collecting payments from and directing / escorting patients in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures. Is an ambassador of Deaconess, cultivating a nurturing atmosphere of courtesy, compassion, respect, empathy, dignity and optimism. This position is responsible for demonstrating advanced analytical skills to determine process improvements and escalating of issues or concerns to leadership. This position will mentor and train all appropriate staff by supporting a team environment. This position will demonstrate detailed focus and sound decision making as well as serving as a role model to the rest of the department.

Completion of high school or GED is required. College degree preferred. Previous cash handling experience and knowledge of health care revenue cycle is required. Understanding of insurance is a plus. Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and percentages.
