The LVT Manager is part of the hospital clinical services team and assists with the organization direction, management, and evaluation of patient care services for Dentistry, Exotics, Interventional Radiology / Endoscopy, Neurology, and Ophthalmology Services. The LVT Manager impacts the continuing goal of providing the very best in patient and customer care by promoting the philosophy, mission, and core values of the Schwarzman Animal Medical Center.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current NYS Veterinary Technician Licensure required, VTS preferred.

Bachelor's Degree preferredExperience

Partners with the Director of Dentistry, Exotics, Interventional Radiology / Endoscopy, Neurology & Ophthalmology departments to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, staff development and career ladder to ensure compliance with national standards and state regulatory requirements.Plan, coordinate and manage day-to-day activities of the nursing staff, including LVTs and AssistantsCollaborate with the team leaders and staff to develop, continually improve, and promote quality standards for nursing careAct as a working supervisor, work in a nursing capacity approximately 60% of the time.Mentor and guide hospital Team Leaders, Lead Technicians, and Administrators on Duty to ensure excellence in the hospital's functionalityAct as a liaison between the Director of Dentistry, Exotics, Interventional Radiology / Endoscopy, Neurology & Ophthalmology departments to assure optimal communications and efficient operationsAssisting the Director with daily operations, supervising patient care to ensure patient safety, and be responsible for learning departmental skillsetsInform & collaborate with the Director and / or appropriate personnel of needed repairs, and preventative maintenance for equipment or unsafe conditionsKnowledge scheduling, payroll management, admissions, discharges and other areas as applicablePerforms responsibilities in accordance with hospital goals, objectives, policies, and proceduresImplement and enforce hospital policies and protocolsImplement and assess disciplinary action and progress improvement as neededMust have strong knowledge and or willing to learn all aspects of Dentistry, Exotics, Interventional Radiology / Endoscopy, Neurology & Ophthalmology Performs responsibilities in accordance with hospital goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.All other related projects and duties as assignedDemonstrates core value of CARE through positive behavior and ambassador for the Schwarzman AMCAll other related projects and duties as assignedReports to : Director of Dentistry, Exotics, Interventional Radiology / Endoscopy, Neurology & Ophthalmology
