Full-Time Patient Services Representative
Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves? UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office in Bellevue. Weekend availability required to support the hours of operation.
Healthcare and customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Patient Interaction : Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
- Scheduling : Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
- Support : Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
- Technology : Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
- Financial Advocacy : Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
- Compliance : Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Admin Tasks : Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
Qualifications :
Completion of high school or equivalent.Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred.Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
