Position Summary
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving products into inventory, pulling products for job staging, maintaining inventory, shipping products to jobsites and customers, and keeping the warehouse neat and orderly in accordance with company standards.
This position will be part-time at approximately 25 hours per week.
The wage range for this position is $17 - $20 per hour, based on experience.
Essential Functions and Duties
Receive shipments, examine and inspect product, and report damaged product to supervisor
Verify product and counts with packing lists and report any discrepancies to supervisor
Store items according to stock inventory or job specific inventory
Pull product and prepare job bins for technicians to take to Service job sites
Prepare, stage, and ship product being sent directly to job sites or customers
Verify deliveries for out of state jobs
Monitor wire inventory and consumables
Assist with inventory counts
Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, and safe
Keep informed of new products and developments
Other Functions and Duties
Provide backup support by answering telephone calls and providing customer support
Other duties as assigned
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
Criminal background check required for hire
Valid drivers license with acceptable motor vehicle record required
Forklift certification preferred, but will train
Required Abilities
Perform Shipping and Receiving duties per the direction of the Manager
Operate standard office equipment and tools
Speak, read, and write the English language
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Respond promptly to customer inquiries
Work independently and as part of a team
Assess situations and make clear and timely decisions
Organize work, develop procedures, and follow instructions
Adjust positively to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
Remain calm in difficult situations and respond with professionalism
Computer skills sufficient for managing a computer-based inventory system and electronic communications
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
1+ years of inventory control, shipping, and receiving is preferred
Become and remain proficient in all computer programs necessary to perform the everyday duties of this position including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet
