Schedule Night shift from 6 : 45 PM to 7 : 15 AM, with every other weekend required. Job Description The position involves providing care in a Cardiac Step Down / Progressive Care Unit. Responsibilities include trach care, managing patients with bariatric needs, nocturnal ventilation, and stroke care. The nurse will care for 1 patient for every 5 beds in the Step Down unit, and may float to acute care with a ratio of 1 : 6. Responsibilities Provide care for patients in a Cardiac PCU, including those who are post-operative and stroke patients. Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders. Assist with trach care and management of nocturnal vents. Monitor patient vitals and report any changes in condition. Float to Elmer as needed within specialty units. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Step Down / PCU unit. Cardiac and Telemetry experience required. Current NJ nursing license or compact license.
