Technical Specialist - Automation page is loaded## Technical Specialist - Automationlocations : VLN San Jose, CAtime type : Full timeposted on : Posted Todayjob requisition id : R252506An Automation Technical Specialist's purpose is to diagnose customers' challenges using situational, problem, implication and need-payoff questions, then providing them solutions out of Valin's portfolio of products and services which will increase Valin's volume of factory automation products and services. She / he is involved with customers from the concept and detail stages of the designs through to implementation, testing and handover stages of the solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Sales of business solutions based on Valin's lines of automation hardware and software products and solutions.
- Effectively conduct customer presentations to all levels of the customers' organizations.
- Identify and cultivate strategic relationships at all levels of the customers' organizations.
- Research suitable solutions and estimate costs and timescales.
- Liaising with others in the design team, clients, and contractors.
- Prospect the assigned territory identifying and developing automation clientele.
- Follow up on Leads and quotations with technical support, commercial negotiations and encouragement to place the order with us.
- Conduct customer management activities, maintaining contact and account data, via the Valin Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Skills and Abilities Required :
- Self-management and multi-tasking skills.
- Technical knowledge about automation products.
- Presentation, verbal and written communications skills.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time in a local range typically of 100-mile radius Education, Experience and Skills Required :
- Bachelor's degree with a highly technical aptitude (mechanical or electrical)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar is a bonus Physical Capabilities and Requirements :
- Must maintain a four-door, Valin-approved, motor vehicle
- Valid Driver's License free from moving violations and / or DUI's
